#103 Just Go For It - Natasha Tomlinson
"....it was really, really difficult to walk away from a very solid career. And I think I wanted from the life coach validation, just someone to say, go for it, you're not being stupid, you're not being crazy, just go for it." Natasha Tomlinson
Natasha Tomlinson stepped away from a 20 year career in accounting to pursue her passion. Tasha studied psychology in university and when offered a job in accounting she took it. She got to the point where in her heart of hearts she knew she wanted to go back into psychology. We talk about how Tasha made that happen. And we talk about the business she co-founded to improve resilience and social skills of students some of whom are disengaged with education, display challenging behaviour, experience distress due to mental health/medical conditions and have significant attachment and/or trauma needs.
Natasha Tomlinson has a degree and Master’s in Psychology and is a psychotherapist. She has worked in mental health for many years, in the charity sector, in a corporate setting and as a mentor, counsellor, fitness & wellbeing instructor. Her passion is health and wellbeing. She is trained in mindfulness and it’s a technique she uses every day. Together with Luke, she runs Life Skills Hub. She leads the KIDS partnership project working with young people with autism and anxiety/depression and also takes care of the finance director and company secretary roles within the business.
